About the Artist
Hi! I'm Rochelle.
I am a mixed media artist. My work is about freedom and bringing bursts of color to brighten spaces. My hope is that you get to experience even a fraction of the joy I had in creating the art. I want my artwork to bring light and color to you life.
Believer in the City
I live and work in Chicago. I received a Bachelor’s in Design from University of Illinois Chicago with a minor in Art. My success and skill as a graphic designer has been an example for me that my skills can be used in full range. I’ve always loved creating art since I could remember and I’ve always felt a calling on my life to do more with it. With fluid mediums such as alcohol ink and acrylic ink, I give over control to the medium to mirror how we can learn to give over control in order for God to make space for greater gifts to come. Turmoil pain, and destruction can be attributed to the evil that man chooses to rage with as a result of the fall. While the chaos and pain of the world won’t ever cease in our mortal lives, I chose not to give power to evil. God created and saved us so that we can do good. I want my work to be an encouragement for all people to seek peace, joy, and all that is good on this side of eternity.
